Lost Stars

This was never going to be easy, I knew that from the start.

But when a heart flutters into something new, doubts disintegrate.

I let my heart grow into something, someone I thought was true.

If only I knew, how blind the light in my heart was from the take off.

The light switched off and i’ve been like this for months.

Every minute, every hour, every day,

A never ending cycle of now re-emerging doubts. 

But when I view the past for what it is, that’s all it is - a distant yet strong memory.

Clashing morals are what placed us here, in this place I never wanted to be in.

My morals still stand strong, no matter how lustful the wind blows.

And now, I am stronger. I am faithful. I am wiser, and I am moving on.

The light of my heart has reignited for a perfect constant, and not for the temporary works of any lost star.
